Q: How much does it cost to use Shiper?
A: Each delivery’s cost depends on dimensions, weight, and the mileage of each shipment.
Q: Why do I see a charge on my credit card before the project has been completed?
A: You will not be charged before your project is completed. Shiper puts a temporary hold on your card for the estimated amount or $100, whichever is greater. A hold is not a charge, and no money is taken from your account. When a hold is placed on your account, an estimated amount is temporarily “held” back from account funds available for spending. It prevents declined payments, which can hurt your credit score. Once your project is complete, the hold is released, and your card is charged the final billable amount. Shiper releases the hold immediately upon issuing the final bill.
Q: How do I pay for Shiper?
A: Shiper is a completely cashless business. When you register to use Shiper, we will ask you for your credit card information. After the job is complete, we will charge your credit card based on the total amount of time it took to complete the job. We will put a hold on your credit card for $100 or the amount equal to the estimated cost of the job, whichever is greater.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: To cancel your booking with Shiper, simply navigate to the booking you would like to cancel and click “Cancel,” or contact us by email. You can also reach out to the assigned driver directly. If your shipment is canceled before a driver is scheduled or with more than 48 hours’ notice, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. If you cancel between 24-48 hours, your cancellation fee is 20%. For cancellations made between 4-24 hours, your cancellation fee is 50%. Cancellations made within 0-4 hours of the scheduled pickup time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Q: What types of vehicles are available for On-Demand Delivery?
A: Shiper vehicles include car, midsize vehicles, cargo vans, and box trucks depending on the dimensions and weight of your items.
Q: What kind of vehicles can I book through Shiper?
A: Shiper delivery professionals have pickup trucks, cargo vans, box trucks, sedans, and SUVs. All of the vehicles are owned by the delivery professionals, not by Shiper. All vehicles are required to pass a 21-point inspection before they can begin driving on the Shiper platform. If you need a trailer, you may select this option in the equipment section of your estimate request.
Q: Does Shiper offer assembly services?
A: Yes, Shiper offers assembly services for a low flat rate, based on the number of items you need assembled. You can select “Assembly” in the “Special Equipment” section of your order to see price quotes for your project. Some items we are currently unable to assemble include: cribs, bunk beds, gazebos, outdoor play structures, sheds, billiard tables, gas grills, exercise equipment, mechanical beds, and trampolines. We are also currently unable to offer appliance installation, TV mounting, or hook-ups for gas lines, water lines, or cable.
Q: Will the Shiper Driver help me load and unload my items into their vehicle?
A: Yes, your Shiper Driver will assist with the loading and unloading. If you are moving a large or bulky item(s), such as a couch or sofa, we suggest you hire a Shiper Helper to move the item(s). If an item is too large for one professional to safely move on their own, and you did not hire a second professional, you will be asked to provide assistance. Providing your own muscles as a project helper is a great way to save money on your move. However, if you are unable to provide assistance, your project may need to be canceled or rescheduled.
Q: How long does it take to make a delivery with Shiper?
A: The time for each delivery depends on driver availability, distance, and factors like traffic conditions.
Q: How can I check the status of my delivery?
A: Please refer to your confirmation text message, which includes a link with the delivery status page. For questions or additional information, please chat with us online.
Q: How do I request a Same Day/Scheduled Delivery?
A: Click on book now, place your order, select today’s day! If a Shiper is available now to pickup/deliver your item, you’ll be automatically matched.
Q: How do I reschedule a delivery?
A: If a delivery professional has accepted your request, you can call them through the app and ask them if they can reschedule. If they are unable to reschedule, you can cancel the project and schedule a new one. Cancellation fees may apply. You can also contact our customer support team for additional help, and we may be able to find another delivery professional to help at no extra charge.
Q: Can I use the Shiper Platform from any location?
A: As of right now, Shiper is only available in the province of Quebec. Stay tuned to see our future locations.
Q: Do I need to be at the pickup location?
A: No! Your Shiper Driver will request you to send him a copy of your store receipt to accept custody of your item(s).
Q: Is Shiper available at retail stores?
A: Yes! Shiper same day/scheduled delivery is available at retailers everywhere.
Q: Who are the Shiper Delivery Professionals?
A: Shiper Delivery Professionals are people that live in your community who want to earn extra money by using their vehicle to help you deliver, move, or haul your items. We sometimes refer to them as drivers as well. All of the delivery professionals are at least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance. All drivers must pass a national and local background check with no felonies or DUIs in the past 7 years. We also make sure they are not on the terrorist watch list or the sex offender list.
Q: What can I have delivered using Shiper’s Platform?
A: You can ship just about anything as long as it’s not illegal, animals, bio-hazardous or hazardous materials, firearms, or ammunition. Safety comes first; therefore, any items exceeding 200 lbs. will be acceptable for ground floor delivery only. Our maximum weight is 250 lbs. If you have items greater than 250 lbs., please chat with us, and one of our PICKUP Customer Success Specialists will determine if it is acceptable.

Q: Are there any items that Shiper cannot move?
A: Due to their delicate or legal nature, Shiper cannot move people, pets, livestock, grandfather clocks, fireworks, drugs, guns, weapons, fine art/antiques, or anything that is illegal. We also cannot move extremely heavy and bulky items such as pianos, hot tubs/saunas, billiard tables, concrete slabs, marble tables. When selecting a vehicle and equipment for your project, please be mindful of the size of your items. For example, a full-size refrigerator requires a box truck with a lift gate and an appliance dolly. If your project is too large for the vehicle you selected, it may need to be canceled or rescheduled.
Q: Can I ride in a Shiper vehicle with the driver?
A: No, drivers are not able to take passengers.

A: Yes, you can tip your Shiper Driver in the app after your project is complete. You can also tip them in cash. We are unable to refund any cash tips you give to Shiper delivery professionals. Shiper Drivers keep 100% of their tips.
